Egg-cellent Easter crafting with James Strawbridge

Prepare your egg
First, carefully pierce the egg with a safety pin at both ends. Make the hole at the base of the egg large enough to push a cocktail stick through, give it a wiggle to break the yolk, then remove it.
Holding the egg over a clean bowl, blow gently into the egg to push the egg yolk and white into the bowl below.
Once the egg feels empty, pop it into a bowl filled with warm water and washing up liquid, then leave to drain on a kitchen towel until completely dry.

Get decorating
Dig out your paintbrushes and start decorating – bunnies, chicks and flowers are perfect for spring, but don’t be afraid to get creative. For more complicated designs, use printed tissue paper and Mod Podge, or try applying stickers for a finishing touch. The possibilities are endless…

Keep the fun going
Delighted with your Easter eggs? The fun doesn’t stop there. Here’s how to make the most of this holiday activity.
-Make an Easter display
Use moss to create a nest like James and his family, display your creations in egg cups, or attach a ribbon with sticky tape to hang the eggs on your Easter tree.
-Host an Easter egg hunt
Play Easter Bunny and hide your colourful eggs around your house or garden, then send little ones out to find them. We recommend a chocolatey reward for whoever finds the most…
-Eat the leftovers
Don’t throw away the leftover egg yolk and whites – make like James and whip up scrambled eggs with a side of tomato relish.
