Halloween crafts - How to make a ghostly garland

Spooky season is here and if you’re anything like us, you love nothing better than to deck out your home with creepy (but cute) decorations. That’s why this Halloween, we’re sharing our super simple step-by-step guide craft that’s set to spook up your home – perfect for entertaining the kids this half term. Keep reading to discover how you and your little ones can make your very own Ghostly Garland.
STEP 1:
Take your card and fold in half from the longer edge, so there’s a clear guide of where you need to cut. Cut your card and tape together to create one longer piece of card.

STEP 2:
Next, fold 4inches of paper in on itself, before turning over and repeating on the other side. You should eventually end up with a zig-zag effect.

STEP 3:
Using a pencil, now sketch out half a ghost outline. We used a pre-made stencil, simply by drawing out a ghost and folding in half.

STEP 4:
Now, you’re ready to cut out your garland, using your pencil sketch as your guide. Because the card can get quite thick from the folding, Mum or Dad’s might want to help with this step!

STEP 5:
Time for the best part, unravelling your Ghostly Garland! It’s now over to you to decorate, using whatever supplies you may have at home – the more creative, the better. We’ve used glitter, glow in the dark paint for eyes, pompoms, plus ribbon to tape onto the ends ready to tie up!
