Things To Do
The Abbey
Towering over the city is of course, Bath Abbey. Dating back as far as the Anglo-Saxon times, it’s been a place of worship for over a thousand years. The Abbey’s changed a lot over that time, but in 2000 it underwent a restoration programme, including the installation of a brand-new organ. As well as taking in the impressive architecture of the building, visitors can also explore the Discovery Centre, an interactive heritage space allowing members of the public to view historical archives, replica period costumes, interactive exhibits and more. A great educational visit for the family and one not to be missed.

The Roman Baths
Once the site of one of the most famous and well-known religious spas in the world, where Romans would visit to worship and bathe in the thermal springs. As well as being able to walk around the site and take in the magnificent ruins, visitors can also explore the museum collection, housing Roman artifacts including the gilt bronze head of Goddess Sulis Minerva. One for history lovers and site-seers alike!
