These are great quality boots, very well made. The leather upper is reinforced with extra layers of leather across the toe and heel which makes them much more durable. The patchwork effect of the different sections of leather sewn together creates interest on the upper, instead of just the plain seamless look of other boots of this style on the market, and this feature also means you get less creasing when you wear them because the leather upper has more movement in it. The sole is nice and chunky without being OTT and is not in the least bit heavy, you get an nice height boost without the clumpy. It's also very well attached to the upper so will stand up to wear. The sizing is perfect, enough space inside for an insole and a pair of thick socks which is what you want in cold weather. I'm not that taken with the laces, they seem a bit thin and cheap compared with the rest of the boot. No wearing in though, good to go right out of the box.
